The Choosing

Standard

Hey guys! Even though I doubt anyone will see this, I’m going to be writing a story, and I need the viewer’s help! If you want your character in the story, post his/her name, tribe and a brief overview of their personality/how they usually act.

The Choosing is a series of short stories about the Poptropica tribes. I’ve had an idea about these for ages, but I’ve never written it down. It might make an appearance in TCOSF (The Chronicles of Sleepy Feather, in case you were wondering), but probably not.

Basically, any Poptropican is obliged to do a Choosing to figure out what tribe they are in. They can do the Choosing as young as 6, but they can’t do it any older than 15. The Choosing involves a simple aptitude test which the Judges will use to put you in the house you belong in based on your personality and what you consider your greatest skill.

Here is the criteria for each tribe.

The Flying Squid are generally the best swimmers. Part of the aptitude test involves you trying to make it across a strange area on Choosing Island, and if your best point in the test is the swimming across a lake, then you are placed in the Flying Squid.

Known Flying Squid:

  • N/A

The Wildfire tend to be bold and rash, which is tested when you are given a choice. The more attractive choice is usually chosen by Wildfires. They are also usually quite good at sports, though this doesn’t apply to all of them.

Known Wildfire:

  • N/A

The Yellowjackets are usually team players. They are very good at working in a team, like bees. They usually are also very hardworking – they’re kind of the Hufflepuffs of Poptropica.

Known Yellowjackets:

  • N/A

The Pathfinders are the clever ones. They aren’t usually street smart, but are always book smart. They tend to enjoy ‘intelligent’ activities like reading and….reading….and reading…But Pathfinders aren’t just nerds. They can be street smart, and not all of them love reading, but they’re all naturally clever.

Known Pathfinders:

  • Sleepy Feather

The Black Flags are usually just a last resort. If a Poptropican doesn’t fit in any other tribe, they are put in the Black Flags. Despite it not sounding very good, Black Flags usually stick together, and are generally cool.

Known Black Flags:

  • N/A

The Nightcrawlers tend to be kind of sneaky and cunning. That’s not a bad thing, Nightcrawlers! Many Nightcrawlers are also pretty ambitious.

Known Nightcrawlers:

  • N/A

The Seraphim are pretty good and honest. You can always trust a Seraphim to do stuff for you, and they always get the job done unless there are some unforseen circumstances. People think Seraphim are goody-two-shoes, but they aren’t really.

Known Seraphim:

  • N/A

The Nanobots are usually really good with technology. Like, really good. They can use wires, machines and anything similar to that in their work.

Known Nanobots:

  • N/A

So, if you want to be in the story, post a comment below and I’ll write you a chapter!

Poptropi-Con – a bit more on it

Standard

Back in May, fruitbat777 on the Adventure Time Pop blog made a post on his theory about a possible ‘Poptropi-Con’ island. There have been a few more posts on the Daily Pop which seem to lead in to this theory, though some of them are mainly speculation.

The caption of the picture above is ‘Ninja? More like a non-ja‘. It shows an obviously home-made ninja costume.

At first, I thought this was just a coincidence, but then I realised – his bag reads ‘P-CON 2014‘. The caption is ‘Blast off to the world of imagination‘.

This one is probably just speculation, but it may be possible that we have to make our own costume on Poptropi-Con Island. The caption reads ‘Don’t bottle up your creativity‘.

This one is pretty obvious: there is a guy in the Templar Knight costume, and a girl with a crown on. She has red eyes – possibly the villain? The ‘restrooms’ sign shows a guy dressed as a wizard and a girl dressed as a superhero.

This one shows an alien-type costume. I’m not sure why it’s guy and girl: possibly a costume to-be-released, or maybe this is the members-only costume for this island? Perhaps your Poptropican will have to wear this costume as part of the story?

Screen Shot 2014-07-07 at 3.19.18 PM

This one shows two Porta-Potty cubicles. You can see a coffee cup similar to the ones in the bin on the waiting-in-line one.

Screen Shot 2014-07-07 at 3.20.53 PM

This shows a pizza truck, and the same girl in the crown as we saw above. I’m not too pleased about bad food being included in Poptropi-Con island – didn’t they already cover that in Zomberry Island? The girl is obviously ill – she is green, and she was pink-ish in the earlier picture.

This one also seems to be for Poptropi-Con Island. There is a P in the bottom right corner (possibly standing for Poptropi-Con?), and the guy has a bag that says ‘P-CON 2014‘ on it.

Ohmygoshohmygosh! Steampunk costumes! I adore steampunk! Rest assured that I’ll totally be AGGRESSIVELY COSTUMIZING on this island.

Viking costumes…*faints*

This one shows signs – Con, CC and Co. And the kicker? This post is called Con Game.

These ones are…well, the girl’s costume is from Lunar Colony. The guy looks like that robot bouncer on Game Show.

Binary Bard and Fire Dragon costumes!
